Though I’m not generally a reader of romance novels, I thoroughly enjoyed Sam Skybourne's latest novel “Eye of the Storm.” All the characters (even the animal ones!) were likable and their relationships and interactions were depicted realistically and believably. You can’t help but root for everybody here to find happiness. The depictions of Robin and Meli’s friendship as well as Robin’s “friends with benefits” relationship with Zee felt authentic and the way the author handled the interwoven strands of plot and motivation was very well done. The author also does a wonderful job of evoking Lesvos and the beautiful Greek countryside. Good, fun read — recommend, even if you don’t usually read romances.

This is a sweet love story entwined with drama and tragedy. I found the book fun and easy to read. There were many twists and turns built into the plot which made it very interesting. Both Sam and Robin are prone to jump to conclusions which makes the story interesting. The author makes a good effort to keep the reader's interest and succeeds. Sam is Obstetric doctor while Robin runs and animal shelter/ Circumstances led them to meet on a Greek island and the story begins. I recommend this book for romance readers.

I love a well written romance and this one certainly is. I love the suspenseful flow of this book. It keeps you wondering how each character got to the specific place they are in at the moment. Throughout the book you are left on the edge of your seat wondering what will transpire next. Just when you think you've got everything figured out...you're hit with another curve ball. It really is a beautiful story. Once you start reading it will be impossible to put it down. It's Sam's best yet!!!

I really enjoyed this book. I read all genres and styles, and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it was really nice to read a story that had relatable characters and a plot that was plausible. Sam really captured my attention with the way the characters were portrayed in the story. The plot was very well thought out; no cliffhangers here lol I can't wait to read the other books in this series.
